SMS Opt-In
Recipient-initiated consent, confirmed by SMS double opt-in.
How helpers opt in
Lesslo never texts anyone who hasn't asked for it. Enrollment takes two steps, both completed by the message recipient:
- 1. A household owner shares a private Lesslo helper link with their helper in person. The helper opens it on their own phone and sees the consent screen shown below — with the program name, message frequency (up to 1 msg/day), rate disclosure, STOP/HELP instructions, and links to the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy. Nothing is sent unless they check the box and confirm.
- 2. Lesslo then sends one confirmation text. The helper is enrolled only after replying YES from their own phone. Replying STOP at any time ends all messages; HELP returns support information.
The date, time, and device of each web consent are recorded, alongside the timestamps of the confirmation text and the YES reply.
